About us

Welcome to Gratie Ballet! We are a new organization made up of the longstanding ballet community in Fort Collins. Gratie Ballet is committed to bringing classical ballet to the FoCo area. We believe that arts and dance forms like classical ballet are for everyone, to help us see beauty and to bring joy to those around us. 

We are a new professional ballet academy and company for aspiring little pre-ballerinas to professional dancers. We plan to offer dance training in many different dance styles with a focus on classical ballet with highly trained and dedicated teachers. Professional and community led performances like “The Great Fort Collins Nutcracker” will offer students unique opportunities. We believe having the blend of students and professionals is very important for young dancers' growth, creating a healthy environment for the community. Young dancers constantly remind us to keep the wonder and joy of dance alive and to shine the light of this beautiful art form. Our professionals offer a wealth of knowledge, experience and a glimpse into what being a professional dancer looks like. Being able to all share the stage together to create something beautiful.

We are a classical ballet school with a syllabus based in Vaganova and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). We believe well-rounded ballet training produces strong and diverse dancers in storytelling, artistry and technique. We are so excited to keep growing this wonderful community and welcome you to join us in our next steps!

A bit of our history ~ Gratie Ballet emerged out of the need for a new home after our studio came to an abrupt end that we had no ability to control. So instead of claiming defeat we have chosen to pick up, gather together and continue on. The studio doors were closed with one month left until our 2026 year end showcase of “The Wizard of Oz” and “Vintage Vibes”. We quickly came together, pivoted and on our own put those performances on as a community in the original venue The students made it to the stage!
